Popped in for a quiet pint, ended up having fish and chips. Best fish we have had in years, and reasonably priced! Outside chatting to the locals, who were both chatty and a good laugh! Definitely goin back soon Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Popped in with family for an evening meal. Ordered pie with mash and peas x 2 with drinks. Unfortunately 1 of the pies turned up cold, however after returning it to staff, received it back shortly after hot. Staff were friendly and atmosphere good. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I recently stayed at The Tavistock Hotel & Inn, and it was a truly delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Check-in was quick and efficient, and I immediately felt at ease in the beautifully maintained lobby, which strikes a perfect balance between classic charm and modern comfort. My room was spotless, spacious, and tastefully decorated, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and I appreciated the small details — fresh linens, quality toiletries, and a well-stocked tea and coffee station. The housekeeping team deserves special mention for their attention to detail throughout my stay. Dining at the hotel’s restaurant was another highlight. The menu offered a variety of delicious, locally sourced dishes, and breakfast was outstanding — fresh, hearty, and served with a smile. The bar area provided a relaxed setting to unwind in the evening, with a good selection of wines and cocktails. Location-wise, The Tavistock Hotel & Inn couldn’t be better. It’s conveniently situated near key attractions, shops, and public transport, yet it remains peaceful and quiet — ideal for both leisure and business travelers. Overall, I can’t recommend The Tavistock Hotel & Inn highly enough. The combination of excellent service, comfort, and atmosphere makes it a standout choice.
