Great pub Very old school with dark wood everywhere and stools at the bar and a very friendly landlord. Great music and relaxed atmosphere and good wholesome honest food and good portion sizes.Beer is always cold and service is top notch Recommend the Mac n cheese and the burgers Price per person: £10–20

Extremely disappointed. I walked in with a friend of mine and was not greeted by the lady at bar. At first I thought she might be busy, but she greeted everyone else. Maybe because I have black skin she thinks I am not important and yeah every whitefolk who entered was greeted warmly. I went to order a drink at the bar and here comes the worst part. The cold treatment the tone of voice was very disrespectful. The beer was fine...... Another interesting observation one of the folks she greeted warmly was smoking and rolling weed but the customers next to him asked him to get out. It was disgusting for all of us inside. Never coming back.

Never had food here so can't comment on that but I used to drink here regularly when it was called "The Tilted Wig" and have been back in a couple of times since when I am visiting Aberdeen. The selection of beer was always pretty good and the staff were very friendly. The first time I ever came in the barman was polishing glasses and said "What can I get for you sir?" and it felt like a real old-timey experience. They had the large backed chairs too which was a nice touch.
