I stayed for work reasons at the very last minute. Lovely friendly staff, nice clean rooms with comfy beds and great water pressure in the shower. Would definitely recommend and have done to my work colleagues

our 2nd stay, we was made very welcome, the rooms are lovely, nice and light, very clean, the staff can't do enough to help you, lovely beer garden, entertainment, food available, large car park, only a short distance from the high street, you can't go wrong here, looking forward to our next stay, well done team Alcester keep up the good work 10/10 from us!

Alcester itself is a lovely town, and the welcome at The Alcester Inn was warm. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout, the car park is easy, and the bar facilities are adequate. I wanted to share an honest account of the room, though, as the photographs online set an expectation the accommodation did not meet. There were some positives. The sink and toilet were clean and there was plenty of hot water. Unfortunately there was hair in the shower and the carpet looked overdue a vacuum, when I moved the bedside tables there was a lot of dust, cobwebs and dead bugs. The bathroom had no shelves, hooks or towel rails, so nowhere to put anything down or hang a towel to dry. The bigger issues were a very strong smell of damp and a good deal of black mould in the bathroom on every surface. along with corroded metal fixtures. There was no hairdryer provided either. Black mould is a health hazard, this room should not be inhabited in this state Our room also faced directly onto the beer garden. The blinds had to stay closed for privacy, and music, shouting and swearing carried on well into the night, which affected our sleep. Fireworks were let off at midnight by some of the clientele which was not welcomed ! I imagine this would be less of a problem in the colder months when the garden is quieter. One last thing worth flagging. Food is advertised until 8pm, but when we tried to order at 7.45pm we were told the kitchen had already closed. The team are clearly doing their best on the hospitality side, and with some attention to the rooms this could be a much better stay. We were charged a premium as it was a busy weekend which left us feeling ripped off. This was a £50 a night room at best. Charging more without improving the quality is taking the micky. There a great many review similar to this one. Can someone please clean the rooms they are letting you down hugely.
