Amazing spot. Popped in for a pint whilst deciding what to do for dinner. I’d heard the food was good so had a Quick Look at the menu and it looked great. Ended up ordering a burger and it was proper quality. Real cheese, bun from a local bakery and meat from littlewoods . Had the house pickles as a little snack and they were delicious. A lot of the menu had a French leaning and there’s not a lot of that in town right now. Prices are good. Bavette and chips £21 and my pint of ale was four quid. In the city centre this is unbelievable. Nice people and chef popped out for a chat. People keep saying hidden gem but it’s 5 minutes from Mackie mayor! My new pub in town. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £20–30

We decided to try a different area of Manchester on our most recent visit. One of the pubs we tried was The Angel. What an amazing place, great selection of beers which they were quite happy for us to sample first. The food looked great too. We only sampled one of their pies they had on the bar. Made by a local butcher we tried a pork and black pudding. Wow probably one of the best pies I've ever had! Can't wait to visit again and I might even be brave enough to try the oysters. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £1–10
