A Night of Great Music and Major Disappointment** I recently visited **Bank De Leon in Wolverhampton for a pre-booked jazz evening. While the music hit all the right notes, the service—or lack thereof—completely soured the experience. The Good: Atmosphere & Music. If you are going purely for the vibes, Bank Dillon delivers. The Jazz Band:Absolutely fantastic. They were talented, professional, and created a really relaxing, high-quality environment. The Setting The atmosphere in the venue is spot on for a live music event. The Bad: Service & Communication. This is where the evening fell apart. We had pre-booked a table and food, yet the experience was a logistical nightmare: *Pre-ordering Issues Despite pre-booking, the food menu was never sent out to us in advance. The Wait:We ordered our food at 7:00 PM. By 8:00 PM, we had to chase our order. By 9:45 PM—nearly three hours later—we still had not received a single plate. Lack of Communication:At no point were we informed of any kitchen delays or issues. The staff seemed left in the dark and, frustratingly, were unable to contact the manager when things went wrong. The Managerial Letdown. The most disappointing part of the night was the management. When we raised our concerns at 8:00 PM, the manager seemed far more interested in **filming videos for social media** than addressing the fact that guests weren't being fed. Final Verdict:. We ended up walking out at quarter to ten, hungry and frustrated, missing the end of the show. It’s a real shame because the talent on stage was great, but the front-of-house management was non-existent. Go for a drink and the music, but I certainly wouldn't trust them with a food order.**. Refused entry and publicly humiliated by the manager

I pre-booked and pre-paid for the Dinner and Jazz Concert on 2 May, Eventbrite tickets, confirmed table, £58.84 paid in advance for food. Start time changed by automated calendar update from 7pm to 6pm the day before I sent multiple emails, messages and calls that morning & afternoon – no reply.
On arrival, the manager (Mali) refused to seat us, refused a refund, and was confrontational threatening and intimidating in front of other guests, telling us to leave, asking whether I was “mad” and "on drugs" for asking for a refund, and threatening to have me removed. He then told another group at the door they could come in for £10, when we had already paid and he insisted there was no space.

He said our food had been served at 6pm but another guest who asked if I was OK had been waiting for 1 hr 45 min, and a Google review described a near three-hour wait the same evening. Food payment has now been refunded without explanation or apology but I was left shaken by what had happened. Eventbrite cost still outstanding and a formal complaint sent. It’s not about the money, it’s about the principle. Recent reviews tell a consistent story of unprofessionalism and ruining people’s evenings.
