Big into our karaoke and staying local, we got recommended the bell and it didn’t disappoint! Had a cracking night with a great lively atmosphere. The staff were interested to know what brought us there, especially Ella, nice to go somewhere and be made to feel welcome. Had a great meal there too. Definitely go back next time we are in the area. Thanks for adding entertainment to our trip away! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had such a lovely time here! The atmosphere was great, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the service was excellent. A special mention to Ella, who was absolutely brilliant—so welcoming, friendly, and attentive. She really made our visit even more enjoyable, and nothing was too much trouble. She made sure we were well looked after throughout. We’ll definitely be coming back! Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I live closer than most of the “locals” (within a 2 min walk) yet this pub is the biggest “locals only vibe” I’ve ever encountered. Midday midweek, the vibes aren’t too bad. Never a friendly smiley face for us non locals (people who don’t spend their entire day, everyday drinking in there) but wow tonight Saturday night, 8pm not even late I encountered the rudest experience ever. It’s a well known thing in the area that if you walk in the Bell you can be waiting ages for a drink because they’ll serve ‘locals’ first. Imagine you’ve been waiting 5 minutes and someone just strolls straight up and the barman’s like “my man what do you want” - rude but I’m used to it. Today, even worse.. this bald man, acting on such a high horse so I assume management or owner literally stared me out for a ‘moment’, while I was waiting to be served before turning to a lady sat at the bar and asked “do you need another drink” she said “no but I think she does” (meaning me) he looked back over, laughs/smirks and continues to make this lady a drink (even though she said she didn’t want one) and then only once he’s done that does he go tap the girl at the other end of the bar that the entire time was just stood there not doing anything. He got her to serve me.. because obviously they still want your money they just want you to know you’re not particularly welcome first. Within minutes of sitting outside we here some of the “locals” whom I know to be locals due to living in the area for years, working close by and visiting the pub enough times over the year.. we’re talking about “bashing” other ethnic groups, Disgustingly racist. After years of drinking there from time to time I’m never giving them another penny of my money after the behaviour of that rude bald man behind the bar. I reckon he’s probs owner so even more reason to avoid but if he’s not get rid, he’s a disgrace to any business. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Hi, we regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us..Falling short of meeting your expectations is not to the standards we strive to achieve, and we humbly ask for the opportunity to make this right.Saturday night there were very few locals in, however everyone deserves to be served and treated with respect regardless!Unfortunately we cannot control what other people talk about in the garden and it would be an unfair assumption to say that were our locals, however our daily / weekly locals are very friendly and welcoming people and racism is not tolerated in this venue.
