The owner is the friendliest, warmest and sweetest human. As a visiting Calgarian I felt SO welcomed! She offered the best service I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The salmon and brussels sprouts were delish! I sat next to the big windows and it was the perfect meal. Best of all, this restaurant is quite innovative in that they pay all their employees a healthy wage and split their profits and don’t accept tipping. The service was top-notch and genuine. Definitely check out this spot! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ian was incredible. Playlist 10/10. Gluten safe options a plenty. Teapots were the BEST and served in the cutest little cups. Highly recommend!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40

We are visiting Halifax and my sister is gluten-sensitive and my daughter is vegan. I was searching for a restaurant to satisfy everyone and The Bonfire was the perfect spot. To explain further, my daughter is vegan and at many restaurants, she is limited to a salad or a stir fry. My sister usually winds up with a burger on a lettuce wrap. At The Bonfire tonight they both were amazed and excited at the array of choices they had. The rest of our group had ample menu choices as well. The plant based burger was excellent and the gluten free poutine was delicious. The steaks were perfectly cooked, and the plant based banana beignets and gluten free cheesecake were too good not to mention. I also have to acknowledge the friendly staff and great service. Great vibe too! All in all, a great experience and would highly recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50 Vegetarian options: Great plant based and gluten free choices
