Cozy pub close to the Mon and Brec canal, we visited on a Tuesday evening as part of a narrow boat holiday. Food was very tasty and of a good portion. Homemade curry was excellent. Service good and nice atmosphere. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Well what can i say........ we decided to take the work lads out for a very late day out rifle shooting then wanted somewhere to eat after. There was 26 of us altogether, we rang about 6 other pubs around the abergavenny area and was amazed with the answers, 'sorry' we stop cooking at 2pm. I rang the bridgend inn on thursday morning to see if we could get in as i had been recommended it to try, as soon as i asked the answer was yes, no problem at all! We didnt need to even do a pre-order.. I had a menu sent me, so to make it easier i got the boys to choose what they wanted at 10.30am on the friday morning, and sent it across, we were eating at 2pm. Couldnt believe it, we had steaks, gammons, lamb shanks and the food was fantastic and enjoyed by everyone! Just wanted to say thankyou to everyone at the bridgend inn @ govilon, 100% hospitality, very friendly and couldnt do enough for you, will hopefully take the family down more often to support now!
