We’ve been going to The Bush Inn for years and have always had a fantastic experience in all aspects including mostly the food. On Sat 1st Aug 2026 was dreadful, we booked online. We waited 1.5 hours for part of our starters (part was forgotten) it got worse after another 15 mins we went to settle our bill without mains. Followed by waitress advising our mains were being plated. We returned to our table absolutely famished by now. Our meals unfortunately were at a level of 3/4 out of 10. Not enjoyable at all!! The Bill !! The starters (only 1) the rest forgotten and sides taken off (sides 1 garlic bread) I emphasised that wasn’t exceptable, The manager then took off one main. I asked what had gone wrong, the Manager response was “everyone came at once and the chef was overwhelmed” oh my day!! What an answer, we will not be back any time soon, what a shame with such a beautiful pub with fab surroundings. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner Recommendation for vegetarians: Not sure Vegetarian offerings: Not sure Vegetarian options: Very difficult to be positive
