A Hidden Gem with Old-School Hospitality We had the absolute pleasure of being invited to a birthday gathering at The Cambrian Inn near Abergavenny, and what a wonderful experience it was. From the moment we arrived, the staff, manager, and team were nothing short of extraordinary – warm, professional, and genuinely helpful. The pub has that rare charm of a true country inn – full of community spirit, friendliness, and traditional hospitality that’s so hard to find these days. We were made to feel incredibly welcome by both the hosts and the locals. The food laid on for the party was absolutely delicious, and we were so impressed that we returned the following evening for dinner. We had the best scampi and chips we’ve ever tasted, a rich and hearty beef chilli, and a beautifully made veggie lasagne – all clearly crafted with care and quality ingredients. The Cambrian Inn is a little hideaway that delivers in every way – atmosphere, food, service, and soul. Highly recommended. We can’t wait to return
