One of the worst restaurant experiences that I have ever had. The chicken wings were skimpy and over cooked. My daughters chicken nuggets were over cooked and hard. It was filthy too. It needed a good clean and the toilets were disgusting with broken toilet seats and no clean toilets to go in to. I have included pictures of the sinks in the toilet which clearly haven't been cleaned for a long time. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Price per person: £40–50

We popped in for something to eat on the way home from a day out. The Pub itself very nice, the front of staff very polite and friendly however every time the kitchen door opened it was like Gordon Ramsey was out there and he was having a bad day, every time the door to the kitchen opened everyone conversation halted as we all looked towards the kitchen almost comical but not great when you're sat with children. I have to admit I was surprised at the low price of the food, the children had fish and chips, my husband a steak and chips and myself the steak salad and the food was ok... Unfortunately I struggled to eat even half my salad because it was literally drowned in dressing and the fish had very greasy batter but the fish itself was ok... I know what your thinking 'why didn't you send the food' back but to be honest the way the staff were being shouted at I didn't really fancy it. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: £10–20

After a bad experience last year at a different venue for a family (13 of us ) get together , the chestnut tree when above and beyond to cater for all of us . The food was amazing and the service couldn't of been better . Thank you for making this annual family get together special with your service . Compliments to the chef for the amazing food :).
