Been looking for good fish & chips in Reading on my way home late on Saturday night. Huge piece of haddock, chips were good potatoes and cooked well. Batter was light and crispy, freshly cooked. Staff had a long, hot day and this was closing time but they were friendly and helpful. I tried a fried chicken thigh, nowhere near as good as the fish. This spotlessly clean neighbourhood place had a bustling local scene with picnic benches outside. Huge serving, delicious. £13 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I saw JFC reviewed online, so I wanted to give it a try. It didn't disappoint. The staff are very friendly and run a tight ship. The fish and chips were spot on and were well wrapped in paper that even twenty minutes later, they were still hot. Highly recommended! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20

Fish shop? More like battered slop, thanks alot j f c now my nans doing circles of the living room in her wheelchair like its the 80’s and shes just snorted powder off jimmy saviles nipples , took her here and she came home with a new grandad. The fish was soggy and floppy , the chips might aswell of just come out of the floor and the nuggets were rawer than my new grandad on my nan. Service: Delivery Meal type: Dinner
