Lovely welcoming establishment from the time we stepped through the door. Food was lovely from the beans to the bacon, Maggie our Cocker Spaniel was made so welcome. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I stopped off here for a hot chocolate after a walk along the river with my dogs. What a super little find! Wished I’d had space for breakfast as it looked epic! Very dog friendly, including delivery of a jar of biscuits to the table! Ok buckle up, so van in the garage and a prolonged wait ahead, I decided the cookhouse looked a great place to hold up. In at about 9 pretty quiet round myself a good spot and ordered the big breakfast, ooof it's a whopper proper sausage, thick bacon, eggs the way I like them no fried bread because I'm not a fan, but they let me swap it out for another hash brown. So I moved from occupying a table to one of the comfy chairs laptop out and spent the next 4 hours there. I got to see all the variations in the lovely menu the food smelt great, it was busy as heck from around 10.15 so be prepared to wait for what is a very popular newish business eight months open and these guys are killing it! Back on Tuesday for van fix PT 2!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
