Travelled from ferndale as heard it was open again.what a dissappointment ordered fish supper for 2 plus rissoles..paid £31.00.when got home peas tartar sauce missing.when i rang to say girl who served me was rude .she needs to take a course on customer service as she doesnt have any!! I tolf her they wont get my custom again.and will tell others not to go there.shame attitude like hers be closed again soon. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Absolutely appalling experience at The Crispy Cod, and the name is a joke, because nothing about this meal was crispy. We both had battered sausage and chips; my partner with Chinese curry sauce, me with gravy. The chips tasted like they were gone off, the curry sauce was powdery, and the batter on the sausages was tough, soggy, and chewy. I ordered online with a given 50-minute ETA. After 60 minutes with no delivery, I called and was told the website was wrong and delivery would actually be anywhere between an hour and 1 hour 20 minutes. The person on the phone was very rude. The not-so-Crispy Cod is owned the Weeks family and frankly the experience lived right down to the reputation. I suppose I should ask myself what I expected buying into that. Won’t be ordering again. Just ordered the Surf and Turf Meal. It was delicious. Going to order the lobster and sea bass next time.
