Hello Paige,We have fully reviewed our CCTV footage of this incident, which occurred at 14:17 (not 15:50 as your review states), and the recorded facts do not match your description.Our footage shows that the individual sat at our outdoor tables with food purchased from Tesco. When female staff member politely informed her of our policy regarding outside food, she became immediately hostile and aggressive. She then stood directly next to other customers and began smoking a cigarette.Furthermore, the owner of the shop was on a phone call during this interaction, did not shout at anyone, and repeatedly said 'thank you' while trying to diffuse the situation.We are a welcoming business and have no problem with people resting at our tables, provided they do not smoke next to our guests or consume outside food. Given your updates, we have thoroughly reviewed our CCTV footage from that exact timeframe (17:30 to 18:38), and we have clear, undeniable video evidence that proves your account of the situation is untrue.The footage shows that you were occupying our outdoor seating area for over an hour without making a purchase. Furthermore, the video explicitly shows you smoking at the table, directly underneath our clearly displayed 'No Smoking' signs.Our staff member approached you solely to enforce our shop policy and protect the comfort of others. The claim that our staff member was smoking or behaving aggressively is completely fabricated.We can prove via our security footage that this review is an untrue representation of the facts, written solely in retaliation for being asked to follow basic house rules. The customer in question was actively mishandling the flowers on display. Our team member did not shout at her; they politely asked her to step inside the shop so someone could assist her properly. as the owner, I do not smoke.We pride ourselves on being a welcoming and respectful local shop, but we must also protect our merchandise.
