I've been a Customer of the Forge for at least 7 years now and would come for a meal every time I was in Whitstable. Last 2 times though were very underwhelming and today was just a pure disappointment to me and my family. We drove 40 minutes to Whitstable to have a late lunch and a stroll before my partner going to work.We ordered to a table(number 12) with a bill coming up to £76.95.We ordered 2 beers,small Pepsi, half a dozen of oysters,cod with chips,sausage with chips and scampi without chips. We received the drinks and oysters and nothing else.After 40min (or even over that) wait for the rest of our order I went to ask what's happening.I was told that our order was served and asked for receipt which I didn't received and it felt that it was insinuated that I either didn't pay or order was already received.This is absolutely shocking to me.I received apology and I was told that fish and scampi is ready and there is couple minutes wait for the sausage and everything will come to the table.I then watched other Customers receiving their food for another 15min and my partner had to go and ask again and he received the food.Scampi order was wrong. We then didn't even have enough time to finish our food as we had to leave. Very poor service for the premium price.The best part is the oysters,the quality of the other food is not as good as it was before either.Service is shockingly poor. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
