Wow. Was away working as a single woman. Went to The Full Moon Inn alone after work. They had no spare tables but bent over backwards to accommodate me. Very warm, kind ladies working. Stunning food 10/10 but even more important, wonderful service. Thank you!

I've eaten in some fantastic restaurants over the years, but tonight at The Full Moon Inn was genuinely one of the most memorable dining experiences I've had. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm, friendly service that was attentive without ever feeling overbearing. The team made us feel like valued guests from start to finish. The food, however, was on another level. I began with the black pudding Scotch egg, and it was simply flawless. Perfectly crisp on the outside, rich and beautifully seasoned, with a stunning runny yolk that was cooked to absolute perfection. It's one of those dishes you don't want to finish because it's that good. For my main, I chose the pork rib eye, while my son had the Full Moon double cheeseburger. Both were nothing short of sensational. Every bite was packed with flavour, cooked with incredible precision and beautifully presented. The level of skill behind these dishes was unmistakable—it honestly felt as though they had been created by an executive chef at the very top of their game. What amazed me most is that this isn't a fine-dining restaurant charging eye-watering prices. It's a welcoming local pub producing food of an astonishingly high standard. The Full Moon Inn has somehow managed to combine the relaxed atmosphere and charm of a traditional village pub with cooking that wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin-starred restaurant. This is a true hidden gem and deserves to be celebrated. If you appreciate exceptional food, outstanding service and a genuinely memorable dining experience, do yourself a favour and visit. We left already planning our next trip back. Quite simply... perfection. Five stars don't feel like enough.
