What an absolutely lovely experience we have just had at the Oyster bed with the outstanding factor being the staff and their friendly, accommodating vibe. We were here with two toddlers (who enjoyed the indoor play area, ourselves and our elderly Nan who lives locally. The food was lovely, the children’s food came out quickly and the all round atmosphere was just lovely. The nicest pub experience we have all had in a while. Our Nan will be bringing back her friends very soon! Thank you for the authentic and friendly pub experience. Your smiles and warmth makes more difference than you will ever know. We was shown a 2 for 1 menu. Our meal was dry very small and without peas. We asked for peas and told they only had mushy which we accepted. We was then given another menu for pudding which unbeknownst to us negated our special offer, this meant we had to pay lots of money for a substandard tiny special offer meal. Think the staff are trying to wrangle themselves a tip by doing this. I had eaten here before and it seems to be hit n miss to whether you get a good enough meal or not. Would not be recommending this place to others.
