Horrible and extremely rude customer experience. If there were an option to give less than one star, our experience at The Mash Legacy in Calgary on May 30, 2026, would deserve it. We ordered two large boxes of pizza from The Mash Legacy, located at #610, 20 Longview Common SE, Calgary, Alberta, and selected delivery. The estimated delivery time was an hour, however, after around 45 mins when I checked the delivery link in the order confirmation again, I noticed that the driver had finally arrived at the restaurant to pick up the order. Then the delivery status suddenly started rerouting and looking for another driver. Since we live less than 10 mins away, we decided it would be easier to pick up the order ourselves. We called the restaurant and explained that we would come pick it up instead. The person we spoke with said that was okay, and even told us she would cancel the delivery so it was not routed to another driver. When we arrived, we saw an Uber driver who appeared to be there to pick up our order for delivery. The lady at the counter spoke with him briefly, then handed the pizza boxes to us, and we left. At 7:07 p.m., almost an hour later, we received an angry phone call from the restaurant. The person on the phone was yelling at us, accusing us of repeatedly calling the Uber driver. We tried to explain that we had not called any driver at all, but she ended the call before we could finish speaking. We tried calling back, but they refused to answer. Still confused, we called from my wife’s phone. They picked up, but once again, before we could properly explain ourselves, the call was ended on us. Before hanging up, the lady claimed that the driver had shown her proof that we kept calling him. This was shocking and upsetting because we never contacted the driver. We did not arrange the driver ourselves, the restaurant did, so we would not even have had his contact information. We asked to see this supposed proof, but instead of providing it or having a respectful conversation, she ended the call again. I would like The Mash to provide this proof publicly, because I need to understand why we were accused and treated as though we were lying. This entire experience was deeply disappointing, embarrassing, and completely unacceptable. We had literally just said earlier today that we were excited to have found a pizza place close to home, but the way we were treated ruined that completely. Being yelled at, accused of something we did not do, dismissed, and repeatedly hung up on is not how any customer should be treated. We will not be supporting this business going forward. I do not recommend The Mash Legacy.
