Nice atmosphere (Busy). The food was nicely presented and everything tasted pretty good. Plates are on the small side and pretty pricey against the ingredients. But overall we had a lovely evening. Something a bit different than what's around i'd say. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £50–60

Two of us had the "full english breakfast" which consisted of a single slice of toast topped with a single sausage, some bacon, a single portobello mushroom, a grilled plum tomato, two poached eggs, and garnished with a couple of pea shoots. We also had a coffee each. The food was good except the tomato which was over-grown and so had a thick uncuttable centre. The tomato and mushroom had both made the toast soggy. The two coffees were absolutely tiny, (absolutely NOT "standard size, as the owners have claimed) literally two gulps for £4 each. The entire cost was £41.62 (including a previously unmentioned 10% service fee) which we felt was totally outrageous. Nettle - well we got stung! The subsequent reply to this review shows that the owners absolutely do not care that we didn't enjoy their breakfast. We travel a lot, and your breakfast was very average, and way over priced, there's no getting away from that simple fact. Oh, and we didn't read your entire menu because your waitress said they were about to stop serving breakfast and we had to order immediately. Hi Celestium23, thanks so much for leaving us a 1 star review on google and trip advisor. Seems it would have been good if you read the menu and pricing and bill before leaving the restaurant, as service charge is discretionary and could have easily been removed. It is no secret, as it is mentioned in bold at the bottom of every menu, on the bill, and outside on the menu displayed. I'm sorry it came as a surprise, and I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your breakfast, if you do come back again, maybe mention this at the time, we are happy to rectify things when given the chance to do so. The coffees are standard sizes and unless you ordered a double espresso, they are definitely not 2 gulps! Lol on the 'stung' joke! All the best x

The Nettle catered for us at a house near their place. It was fantastic. We all thought that the food was incredible and the service was just as amazing. I would recommend them to anyone. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
