I have spent so much time here the last couple of years. The coffee is the best in town, the service is always amazing, and I love the fact they have toys and books there to keep the kids entertained so I can FINALLY drink a hot drink while it's still hot! Love the art and crafts they have for sale there too, especially the handmade kids clothes. Plus they always have nappies and wipes and bags in the toilets which has saved me more than once in desperate times!! Absolutely one of my favourite places in Caerphilly!

Oh wow... thanks so much for such a lovely review Michaela! It really means the world :) What you've described was pretty much exactly why we opened the coffee shop over a decade ago - I had a 4 year old, 2 year old and new born and couldn't find anywhere that let me get those five minutes to myself, so I am really proud we've been able to give you yours :)

The Old Library Community Cafe is a Cafe that I've been to a couple times now that I've been impressed with both times. To begin, they're located a short walk from Caerphilly Castle and right next to a gorgeous park. There's about 10/15 parking spots directly opposite the cafe shared with the adjacent park. Their selection of food, be it cakes or hot food is delicious. The few times I've been I have gone for their Bacon & Brie Panini - It comes piping hot, cheese properly melted with a side portion of crisps and their coffees are made perfectly. They have large wall full of books that you're able to take home whenever you like - but remember to swap it out with one of your own books! If you're visiting with kids there's a kids play area the opposite side of the cafe filled with activities to keep the little ones busy. They also support a small business 'Tiny Giraffe Crafts' within the cafe where you can browse a variety of bits and Bobs. Overall a lovely cafe with friendly staff, I'll defybe back!
