Here for a family sunday meal, paid over £100 at the bar when I ordered. The server read the order back to me wrong so I corrected it. No issues. Then the manager came over to our table with the card reader asking if we had paid? Very confrontational even after I offered to show her the recipt. Then the food arrived before the drinks and the manager again told me I should have waited at the bar and taken my own drinks to the table... I offered to do this when I ordered and was told by ther server she would bring them over. Awful service from the rude manager she couldnt run a bath let alone a pub.

Glad to see the queens back in full form! New food is unbelievable, chef Connor came to our table and it was refreshing to see such care. New team are brilliant would highly recommend. Best brown sauce I’ve ever had with the black pudding stack.

We’ve now been to The Queen’s Head in Congleton twice for food since the reopening, and both visits have been absolutely superb! The first time we had the burger, and the second time we went for a Sunday roast — both meals were lovely and cooked to perfection. The service on both occasions was excellent, and you could genuinely tell that the chef loves what he does. The attention to detail in the food really showed, with everything being just right. Liya and her team are doing an amazing job, and it’s fantastic to see the pub back open and feeling so welcoming again. It’s also great to see the pool table back — a lovely touch and something that really adds to the atmosphere! We’ll definitely be back again soon. Keep up the fantastic work, Liya and team! Highly recommended!
