We had dinner at The Railway in Yatton tonight and it was just what we needed Proper, honest pub food in a place that feels lived-in, local and unpretentious - a little rough round the edges in the best possible way I had the gluten-free fish and chips (a slightly smaller portion, but really tasty ) and it was great to see how much of the menu was GF too Others went for burgers and gammon, and the children were very happy with mac and cheese and lasagne - always a good sign The pub was buzzy and full of locals, the service was super friendly and helpful, and the prices felt genuinely reasonable Six of us - four adults and two children - ate well for around £70, which feels like a rare win these days Down-to-earth, welcoming, and good value — we’ll definitely be back Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
