We have visited the ruddy duck on many occasions, but on this occasion we held the wake here for our dad. Where do I start…. Kate’s approach to our enquiries made the entire experience completely stress free which is exactly what you need at difficult times. They went above and beyond to ensure the day ran smoothly, simple things like putting more staff on the bar so no one was waiting too long, blocking off the upstairs of the pub so we had a quiet and private place to talk, grieve, catch up with family and display photos, flowers and memoirs, make a few changes to the buffet menu for our, picky eaters and allergies. The buffet was exemplary and displayed so beautifully and everything tasted so delicious. No expense spared and the price per head is an absolute bargain. The range of drinks on tap and top shelf is amazing and no one didn’t have the drink of their normal choosing. The staff were impeccable so friendly, respectful and caring. So all in all considering the circumstances the entire experience here at the ruddy duck made the whole day stress free, pleasant and as enjoyable as it could have been. Thankyou.
