Appreciate was a quiet night but bar staff and assuming friends were shouting going in and out for fags and essentially treating the place as a hang out. Pretty poor when you just paid £12 for one cocktail. The Rummer used to be a cool relaxing place to come have a drink. Times have changed Price per person: £10–20 Atmosphere: 1

I used to love the Rummer for cocktails but recently it has been disappointing to say the least. It is the 4th time in 3 months that I have been in and tried to order my favourite cocktail and although it is still on the catalogue, they don’t have the ingredients to make it (and several others on their list as well). The staff have been really lovely and very apologetic but maybe the manager/owner can so a better job at stocking the bar. Not sure I will go back again since the place is known for cocktails and they are not able to make them. Shame really as it used to be my go to place. Price per person: £20–30

My partner and I stumbled across this little hidden gem. We were on our way back to our hotel when we found it. Oldy worldy type of place, where the staff we very knowledgeable on their spirits. We felt very welcomed, and being strangers to the city was nice experience. Lovely ambience and we will definitely visit again next time we are in Bristol. We were having doubles and a round was between £25 to £30. But they were nice doubles and not your cheap spirits. If you like rum, you have to try their own Honey Rum. Price per person: £40–50 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
