If I could give this restaurant no stars I would. A reservation was made for 6 pm on June 6 for 18 people. When the first few people arrived, they were told there was no reservation for our group. W were kept waiting for over 30 minutes before we could be accommodated. When I arrived I waited at least 15+ minutes before the server took my wine order and then another 15+ minutes before I received the wine. I ordered the French onion soup and a small Caesar salad. The server suggested a small Caesar since the soup was very filling. The salad arrived followed by the soup. Needless to say, it was very crowded at my place setting. Why bring both soup and Caesar at the same time? The soup was burned - there was very little cheese, the crouton was barely visible, and the broth was bitter. I told the server "I can't eat this - it's burned". He asked if I would like to order something else so I ordered the salmon. I waited at least 30+ minutes for the salmon to arrive - at this point I have been at the table for 50 minutes. The salmon arrived - I cut into it and it was way overdone. Instead of the salmon being pink, the salmon was white. My friend's salmon was pink and that is was I expected but did not get - I cook/bake salmon regularly and the salmon has always been pink. My friend sitting next to me ordered the steak with frites - she ordered her steak rare and she said that it was not what she expected - her comment was that she thought it was a cheap cut of beef and she didn't finish her dinner. The plate was grossly overloaded with frites, similar to what you would expect at a diner. She was surprised that the server did not ask if she wanted it packaged to take home. At this point in the evening it was 7:15 and I was just drinking my wine. The server finally asked if I wanted the salmon packaged and I said OK. I was being picked up from the restaurant at 7:40 so we asked for the bill. Why could the restaurant not give individual bills to each table - instead we were given one bill and one person did the calculations on what each person owed - is it really that difficult to give individual bills to 6 people? It was a rush to pay the bill and depart the restaurant - my ride was waiting for me outside. By the way, when I opened the package when I arrived home, it looked horrible, as if someone had just dumped the food into the package - totally unacceptable! Since I had not consumed much of the salmon plate, it could have been neatly placed in the package. I worked for a major hotel in the past and we would always comp the items that were not satisfactory. The server was not particularly attentive, until it was time for us to pay and then he was animated and very friendly - it was all about the tip. We all took note of this behaviour. My bill was over $70.00 - for 1 wine and Caesar salad (I didn't eat the soup or the salmon). A rather expensive evening for only wine and salad.

We are a group of retired professionals who get together once a month at a restaurant for dinner. This is the first time that we were not given separate bills, Every other restaurant has given separate bills. At the last restaurant we attended, there were 22 people and the restaurant gave us separate bills. We have all agreed that we will not be returning to your restaurant and we will not be giving any positive reviews if asked by others to comment on The Rushton. Also, this restaurant is NOT Wheel Chair Accessible - there is a ledge at the entrance which could potential pose a challenge, notwithstanding the fact that your restaurant doesn't really look like it would be able to accommodate a wheelchair. Also, the washrooms are downstairs.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!!

i am very disappointed S the business policy at this restaurant it to serve the take out first and the patrons last. we waited at our table until all the take outs were done first. The owner was ok where to be seen. Not a good place to eat at. You are not appreciated.
