I have been to my fair share of pubs within the country, and I can confidently say this has been the best by far. The location is lovely, Mick the server has been amazing for us visiting for 2 days. So helpful, enthusiastic. He has made our trip so great and absolutely loved it. Would highly recommend

We only stayed for food. The service was good and the food was fantastic. Dog friendly and very welcoming

Lovely views from the terrace, from the conservatory, and from the windows of our room. The staff were friendly, and the room was comfortable. My only complaint is that the breakfast service was quite disjointed--the young man who took our order never asked us whether we'd like tea or coffee, and though he did take our food order, he got it mixed up, and brought our food to the people at another table. (Once he was out of the room, the people at that table discreetly passed the plates over to us.) I'd gladly stay at the Sun again, but our experience there wasn't without its ups and downs.
