Hi Michael, I'm sorry you did not enjoy your visit. I would like to know if you actually ate here as our food goes well here and if you did you could have said something then and we would have put it right instead of being a keyboard warrior. We are a traditional two sided bar appealing to the locals - not a 'posh' food led venue rather a place that has a strong local following that love a beer after work and games of pool or darts. As for cleanliness our toilets are checked throught opening hours and the pub is cleaned daily as are the beer lines every week so your one star review is a bit harsh. As for refurbishment there is a refresh underway with the walls recently painted and the garden being prepared for the better weather. Perhaps you're comparing venues unfairly here not considering their positioning and throwing them all in the same boat. Happy travels going forward.
