Over priced, inconsistent food and slow service. We arrived at around 12.45pm with a booked table, no one came to take a drinks or food order withing about 20-30mins so my husband had to go to the bar to order. Other tables arrived after us (not long after) and their orders were taken at their table. Our food arrived AFTER a table that ordered after us and when it did it was not consistent. 2 lamb roasts, both had very fatty lamb, one has mangetout the other didn't, one had lots of gravy the other one didn't. Roast potatoes were so overdone you couldn't cut through them and the yorkies were cold in the middle. The 2 kids meals, pizza and chips and sausage and chips, the pizza was an adults size pizza WITH about 15 chips on a large plate (not finished by the child) the other, sausages and chips came on a small plate, 2 sausages and about 9 chips...where is the rhythm or reason here? The last plate, ham eggs and chips...well the ham was the only good thing on this plate and I would say it was more like gammon....amazing ....the chips should be allowed to be swapped with fries...and it came with baked beans?? Random....the egg...well it was over done and I would've expected 2. £24 for a roast?? no, I'd pay more for three courses in weatherspoons in comparison to qualityof the food. We did complain that the food wasn't great whilst grudingly paying the bill and all that was said to us was...oh...im sorry

First visit for us to The Wheel Inn. We went there for lunch and we were not disappointed. The burgers were so good. The flavours were great, the beef was perfect and the portion size was just right. My wife had the steak which was cooked perfectly. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Everything was very reasonably priced too. All round great pub with great food and lovely staff. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £10–20
