Recently taken over by new owners and I hadn’t tried their food before but the jerk chicken with rice and beans is soooo good. Super fresh, smokey, delicious. And the sauce is something else. If you order delivery it’s quick and it arrives hot too. Big fan. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £10–20

Tropical Cocktails & Island Vibes! TikiTail in Balham is a fun and lively tropical-themed bar, bringing exotic island vibes, vibrant cocktails, and a buzzing social atmosphere to South London. Whether you’re after a casual night out, a date spot, or a place to grab drinks with friends, this venue delivers tropical charm. From the moment you step inside, the bamboo furnishings, colourful lighting, and tropical decor transport you away from the busy London streets. The relaxed yet energetic ambience makes it anice setting to unwind. The cocktail menu is creative, offering strong, well-balanced drinks served in fun tiki-style glasses. I tried a couple of cocktails—though I can’t quite recall their names—but both were packed with flavour and had just the right kick. They also offer sharing cocktails, making it a great social experience for groups. In addition to drinks, I tried the Tiki Bowl and some sushi, both of which were solid choices. The food complemented the cocktails well, making it a great spot if you want a bite alongside your drinks. A small downside is that it gets quite busy on weekends, so booking a table in advance is highly recommended. Also, while the cocktails are high quality, they are on the pricier side—but the unique experience, presentation, and lively atmosphere make it worth it. Overall, TikiTail Balham is a fantastic spot for tropical cocktails, great vibes, and an unforgettable night out. If you're a cocktail lover or just looking for a fun and unique venue in South London, this place is definitely worth checking out!
