I ordered two chicken wraps and politely asked if they could add a little extra mayonnaise. The employee, who appeared to be Asian and was wearing a hat, first rolled his eyes (not the first time) , turned to his coworker, and then turned back to me. He raised his voice and, while gesturing with his hands, said, “EXTRA? YOU WANT EXTRA?” I was honestly surprised by his tone, but simply said yes. He then raised his voice even more and said, “You should have told me before! You have to pay for it!” He continued speaking to me in an irritated manner and using aggressive hand gestures. I told him that was completely fine and that he could charge me for the extra mayonnaise. When we got to the register, I told him, “Instead of giving attitude to the customer, you could have just explained it.” He rolled his eyes again and responded, “No, I was just explaining.” Having worked in restaurants myself, I understand that mistakes and misunderstandings happen. But there is absolutely no reason to speak to a customer in that tone. A simple “Sure, we can add extra, but there will be an additional charge” would have been enough. I genuinely think this employee needs proper training and a serious warning about customer service. Nobody should have to deal with unnecessary attitude and disrespect when they are simply trying to order food. Extremely rude and disappointing experience. I recently visited Tim Hortons and was disappointed with the overall customer service experience. The staff appeared unhappy and unapproachable, which created an unwelcoming atmosphere. There was little interaction with customers, and it felt like employees did not want to be there. A friendly attitude can make a big difference, and unfortunately that was missing during my visit. I hope management addresses staff morale and customer service so future visits are more enjoyable. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $100+ Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
