I had an extremely disappointing experience with Timberland Inn and lack of customer service with gross attitude from the owner. Due to the wildfires affecting travel around Thunder Bay, I needed to cancel or change the dates of my reservation while traveling with a young toddler. Expedia did everything they could to help facilitate a solution, but the person I spoke with who identified herself as the manager and owner refused to offer any assistance. I was appalled by the complete lack of customer service while we were dealing with legitimate travel concerns. There was no empathy, no flexibility, and no willingness to consider rebooking the reservation, even though the property was fully booked and could likely have re-rented the room. In a situation involving unforeseen travel disruptions and the safety of a family with a small child, I expected at least some compassion or an effort to help. Supporting a small business should mean supporting businesses that care about their customers, especially during exceptional circumstances. Instead, I was left feeling that the priority was simply keeping the booking payment rather than helping a family facing travel disruptions. Based on this experience, I would not recommend staying here for sheer lack of being a human and providing customer service Service: 1

The Timberland Inn was a lovely, peaceful base for our trip. We brought our dog along and felt very welcome, which is always a huge plus. The grounds are beautiful, and the views of the lake were breathtaking. If you want a quiet, scenic, and pet-friendly place to stay in Kenora, this is a fantastic choice Service: 4

Terrible.Poorly marked stairs everywhere.Inaccessible ie closed front “desk”. Unfriendly. Room’ s furniture appears mismatched as if garage-sale sourced. I neglected to read ALL the reviews as the poor ones the norm.My bad,but this a feable 2 star on a good day
