Staff are and have always been wonderful, food and drinks are nice too however it’s going downhill. The outside patio/gate is broken and practically an astray, broken and fallen outdoor lights, and broken benches. Large groups who loiter inside/outside. Groups going into the toilet together downstairs for obvious reasons. It’s unfortunate as it was one of the nicer places in Coventry especially because the staff are so kind but definitely won’t be going back. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 1

Have known the Tipsy Chinese Restaurant since 2018, food has always been good and excellent value, This a real authentic Chinese restaurant, my partner is native Chinese and this ticks the box for flavours a from home. Visited yesterday evening (11th Feb 2026) and discovered that the restaurant is under new ownership and things have stepped up a gear. Ordered lamb skewers (fabulous - so good we ordered a second portion), Sweet and Sour pork (beautifully presented and oh so moorish), a dry spicy chicken dish (difficult not to go for a 2nd and 3rd piece!) and egg fried rice. Even the egg friend rice resets one's expectation for what this popular side should taste like so moist and full of flavour. Ordered a cocktail and a 'mocktail' for myself as the driver - two of each came, buy one and get one free! If you are planning on driving there as we did then the Lower Ford Street Car Park is a few minutes walk away - has Ringgo. Highly recommended.
