This place used to be my go-to spot. I came here all the time, especially during my pregnancy and postpartum period. I was honestly obsessed with their food. Unfortunately, I recently ordered from here again, and it was a huge disappointment. The food looked different, tasted different, and just wasn’t the same quality I remembered. After doing some digging, I found out the business is under new ownership, which explains a lot. I’m really disappointed with the changes. The food was so poor that I couldn’t even finish my meal. If this is the standard they’re serving now, I don’t see how they’ll be in business. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$20–30

I orderd 2 orders of California rolls through uber eats and added an allergy note that i am allergic to avocado. It was on there twice...not only did i not receive both orders of California rolls i had ordered but it had avocado on it! Ignoring an allergy alert is crazy....someone could die. Will never order from this location again. Price per person: CA$20–30

Tokyo Express used to be a reliable spot, but lately it’s been a consistent letdown. I ordered a teriyaki double beef bowl with a green onion cake, and it missed the mark across the board. The portion was unacceptable — barely any beef for something labeled “double.” The meat and sauce both tasted watered down and were served cold. Nothing felt fresh, and the green onion cake was just as disappointing. At this point, it’s not a one-off experience. Every time I give this place another chance, I leave regretting it. For the price they’re charging, the quality is nowhere near acceptable. Serious decline. Price per person: CA$20–30 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1
