Could smell the beef dripping outside the shop and new it was going to be good, ordered haddock chips and Chinese curry sauce, £10.75 no extra to sit inside, did pay cash and you get a discount, the fish was beautifully fresh and flaky, chips were great and the curry sauce, staff very friendly and the place was spotless, up there with the best! Great traditional chippy we both had fish n chips to eat in .. mine with mushy peas and gravy. Fish very tasty and lightly battered.. chips great .. mushy peas perfect as was the gravy. Nice walk along the canal to get to. Perfect . Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Travelling across Manchester to Tony's Chippy was absolutely worth it. The chippy is located at the end of a street with a small, free car park across the road, and there is also a bit of street parking directly outside. The shop was spacious and impeccably clean, with the toilet in the restaurant side equally spotless. The staff operated like a well-oiled machine, efficiently managing the queue that extended beyond the door. And it was all for good reason. The food was outstanding. The haddock and cod were succulent with a deliciously thin batter cooked in beef dripping. The chips, also cooked in beef dripping, were perfectly done. The mushy peas and Chinese gravy made for delightful accompaniments, as did the foot-long sausage.
