Those that know, know. Tucked away from the spotlight, Tops Cafe & Bakery is one of those rare places that feels like a genuine local secret. The owner is absolutely delightful, bringing a warmth and hospitality that makes every visit feel personal. The desserts are the real stars of the show. The lemon meringue pie was wild in the best possible way, bright, fresh, and packed with flavour. The Napoleon was equally outstanding, with delicate layers and a richness that had everyone at the table talking. Every bite felt homemade and crafted with care. What makes Tops special isn’t just the baking. It’s the feeling that you’ve stumbled across somewhere authentic, where quality still matters and every customer is treated like a regular. A must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth. Popular with locals, but still somehow flying under the radar. One visit and you’ll understand why people keep coming back. Highly recommended. I always have an incredible experience at Tops Chef in Coquitlam. From the pastries to the Persian style omelette breakfast, the quality of the food and flavour is 10/10. I’d highly recommend purchasing their freshly baked bread - if you come first thing in the morning it’s coming out straight from the oven (seriously to die for). We've had the chance of visiting Tops Chef Bakery & Café in person and exploring both the indoor and outdoor spaces of this charming café. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and full of character. One of the most delightful touches is their use of beautiful vintage wooden sewing tables as service tables. It adds such a unique and creative feel. As soon as you step inside, you’re welcomed by the nostalgic aroma of authentic Persian pastries, which instantly draws you in. The lovely lady was really friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. We tried the "nopeloni sweets", which we had heard so much about, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. Everything else on display looked equally tempting, and we’re already looking forward to coming back to try more. I absolutely recommend this café to anyone who loves sweets, pastries, and cozy, inviting spaces. It’s truly a special spot!
