The drinks were a highlight — the Vietnamese coffee martini and lychee martini were both delicious, with the lychee being on the sweeter side. The chicken and black garlic dumplings and crystal popcorn chicken were both great, with the Thai basil and lime leaf giving the popcorn chicken a nice twist. The lamb slap noodles had incredible lamb and noodles, though the dish felt a little heavy on the vegetables. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

I celebrated my birthday at Toridori Halifax, and it was unforgettable. The vibe was vibrant and warm, and the team made me feel genuinely celebrated and they even surprised me with a sesame cake for my birthday, and it was absolutely yummy. Food highlights: the popcorn chicken (perfectly crispy), roast chicken with rice (comforting and flavourful), chicken dumplings (juicy and delicious), and fried rice that tied everything together. The cocktails were playful and expertly made : total celebration energy. Service was the star: attentive, kind, and thoughtful from start to finish. With the chic, artistic setting, it was the perfect spot for a special night. Bottom line: Toridori isn’t just dinner—it’s an experience. If you’re celebrating a milestone or just craving amazing food and hospitality, this is the place. Ps: I came all the way from Toronto and will be there again when I visit Halifax! I visited Toridori on September 12/24 with a group of 8. I cannot rave enough about this place. The food was served quickly, hot and what an experience. We had some entrees to start - Twisted Pods, Pok-Pok Wings, KFC Cauliflower. I could have eaten each one of these as a main...the flavors are absolutely incredible and so craveable. The Pok-Pok wings are by far the very best wings I've ever eaten...anywhere. My mouth is watering as I speak. I've had deep fried cauliflower before, but the KFC cauliflower is AMAZING!!! For a main I had the Singapore Rice Vermicelli Noodles - again so so good...I had leftovers and my partner just loved it as well. And then we did a dessert called Halo-Halo!!!! - well well well...although the description sounds strange...shaved ice and corn flakes? OH MY GOODNESS!!!! Even if you are full, GET THIS!!! It's light, clean and soooooo sooooo good. If anyone asks me for a recommendation for a restaurant, this would be my #1 suggestion. The atmosphere is relaxed and modern, very cool vibe. The wait staff and kitchen staff are wonderful, very accommodating and friendly. I'd give this 6 stars if I could.
