Update 07/05/2026 Just a recommendation: The microphone for singing sometimes just doesn't sound loud enough to even hear yourself to tell if you are singing loud enough, it sounds loud enough in the audience but if your screaming into a microphone just to hear yourself and can still hear people talking clearly, someone needs to adjust the gain or boost on the microphone. I don't know if the setup limits ranges due to unwanted sound feedback but surely there is a better balance than parking the mic on one setting and not making adjustments to the audio for each person if need be. I've been there a handful of times and sometimes it sounds balanced where I can at least tell if I'm singing loud enough and sometimes I feel like I'm singing a capella hoping it's even being heard out it in the audience. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally, I made it to Tracie's Place last Sunday. I was in the area with some friends catching a gig at another place in the afternoon and we all agreed to come to Tracie's place for the evening. I was the only one out of the 5 of us who's never been there. The place was much bigger than I thought which was great. It wasn't very crowded as it was like 8pm I think. Finally got to do some karaoke at this place. Cool Dj's and the people were also very friendly and supportive. I had the sweet potato fries and they were yummy! Love the decor which reminds me of a diner style look from Happy Days. Definitely coming back again to this place. Karaoke happens every day there! Hello, Thanks for your honest review. Ive been doing sounds for 30+ years and I find it amazing how everyone is very different to their own preferences. As a kj myself I just love when people share their likings. I like to make everyone happy. Ive been to many karaoke shows where there is no monitor. I personally love one myself and like it crisp, so i appreciate when other do as well. However 100's of times I have people tell me I hate to hear myself sing in a monitor, please turn it off. Amazing neighborhood spot! Great environment with good people. Staff was very hard-working and friendly, despite extremely high volume of customers. Karaoke is always fun and they have a great setup for it. The drag show was also fantastic - the queens were even better than lots ive seen in Toronto! The space is designed really well, nice patio outside and a good breakup of stuff inside for bigger groups and more intimate places. It is also wheelchair accesible! Lots of parking in the back as well which is AWESOME (it is paid, but its not expensive). They also seem to do lots of great stuff for the community!! The food IS pretty terrible though and it seemed like everyone ive talked to that was there, or has been there, knows it haha. Honestly though who even cares. The drinks were great and fairly priced and the whole vibe was very comfortable and pleasant — probably kme of the best nights out we have had in Hamilton. We will definitely be back frequently :) Thank you to the wonderful staff here! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20
