Newly converted, cafe was extremely clean. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. Good prices and exceptional food, we will be back very quickly

had a really disappointing experience at this café. I ordered a jacket potato and a toastie, and both were poorly prepared. The jacket potato was cold in the middle, like it had either been sitting around for a long time or not heated properly. The toastie was the opposite problem it was completely burnt What concerned me even more was the hygiene. I saw the staff member handling food with her bare hands, and she had just been touching other dirty things around the café before touching the food again without washing her hands or using gloves. That made me feel pretty uncomfortable about eating there. Overall the food quality and hygiene standards were not what I’d expect from a place serving food to customers. I won’tl be returning and I’d suggest improvements are made to both food preparation and cleanliness. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20

We’re really sorry to read about the issues with your meal today, that is not the standard we hold ourselves to and sounds like the preparation time went wrong on this occasion and should not have been served, we are very concerned about your observation regarding hand sanitation as we have strict handwashing protocols in place and if this hasn’t happened it’s completely unacceptable and we’ll address this with our team immediately.
