An outstanding restaurant that we can highly recommend. The food was absolutely exceptional, and every dish was prepared to perfection. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere is beautiful, warm, and elegant, creating the perfect dining experience. The restaurant is also very easy to reach by public transport. We will definitely be back! Staff were exceptional. The food? The food, I don't know. I don't know because I spent the whole dinner wondering how in 2026 we have collectively accepted that two slices of sourdough bread sliced in half could be priced at £5.50. Thats over £1 per half slice. Think about it. What happened exactly and when did it happen? Can we still blame the financial crash? Was it Nick Clegg? Who did this? Will Andy Burnham fix it? I don't know how restaurants don't know this yet, but for the most part, customers can tell which dishes have high input costs and which ones don't. I don't expect to get a honking massive piece of fish or lamb at a restaurant, so if it is good quality, I will accept a small piece. The potatoes on the side though? Load em' up. If you give me two measly roast potatoes, you come across terribly because it just stinks of trying to rip me off. I know Trullo sells neither roast potatoes nor lamb, but I'm here now and too furious to press backspace. Trullo sells pasta. And the pici pasta dish is a good example of this. It tastes great, but my girlfriend and I counted just 6 pieces of pasta on the plate. Pici is like mildly chubby spaghetti and its made of flour and water, not even an egg in there. If margins are so razor thin these days that the addition of a bit more chubby spaghetti made of flour and water on my plate means sacking someone, I'll bring my own flour next time. Don't sack the staff because as I said they were sensational. The tiramisu is a world beating tiramisu. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £100+
