Very disappointing and unhygienic experience at See Outside Turmeric Indian Restaurant. I found a long hair in my food, which completely ruined the meal. When I informed the staff, they did not handle the situation professionally and seemed careless about hygiene. The food quality was already below average, oily, and overpriced, but finding hair in the food was unacceptable. Poor service, poor cleanliness, and definitely not a place I would recommend to anyone.

The Italian next door was too busy to host us on a Saturday evening, so we came into Turmeric. It was completely empty, which is a sign we wish we hadn't ignored. When the food came, the naga curries 2 of us ordered were without exaggeration, the very worst curries I have tasted in Bristol. The choice of spices resulted in a tasteless slop, not even slightly hot, and the meat was tiny cubes of tasteless meat. No evidence of flavouring in the marinade. I had been suspicious when the mint sauce had tasted a bit like cornflour, and the poppadoms were flavoured like old burnt oil. If this restaurant stays open, it will be at the expense of any other poor fools who believe the descriptions of the food on an otherwise well written menu. My main regret is that we paid, which was testament to the friendliness of the waiter and nothing else. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

Food was cold, swimming in grease, bahjis were hard, even the rice tasted funny, no cheese in the cheese nan I think the food may have been microwaved .emailed to complain with no response. Avoid at all cost. A supreme waste of my money in these tough times. This was a treat for us and was possibly the worst curry I have ever been served.
