Good food and atmosphere. Bartender and wait staff were awesome. I witnessed the manager refuse to serve someone for being too drunk, which I consider commendable! I also didn’t leave enough of a tip which I made a huge mistake, service was great. We will be back! Price per person: $40–50

The Vault is a lovely restaurant onsite at the Prestige Oceanfront Resort in Sooke. They have an indoor section as well as a good sized covered, dog-friendly patio with heaters. I enjoyed a local beverage to start - a Sparkling Sooke made with Sheringham Lemon, Lemincello, juice, sparkling wine and soda. It was very good and refreshing. For dinner, we ordered the Chicken Crunch Stack Sando, which was excellent. It had a delicious crispy Mac and cheese creation on top of the buttermilk marinated chicken. The Caesar salad was so good we also ordered it again another night. My husband had the Chorizo Burger with fries, which was amazing. It was so big, we had to remove the onion rings and eat those first before eating the burger. The meal was great, the service was fast, and we loved that we could have our dogs with us on the patio.
