Utterly Disappointing Sunday Lunch – Avoid for Special Occasions Rating: /5 We booked a table here for my dad’s birthday lunch, but unfortunately, it was an incredibly unpleasant experience from start to finish. The service was shocking, and the management was entirely defensive. The Service: Clueless & Chaotic Staggered Starters: Our starters arrived at completely different times, meaning some of us had finished eating before others were even served. Basic Neglect: We had to repeatedly ask the staff for basic necessities like water, cutlery, and plates. The staff genuinely seemed clueless. The Food: Missing Items & Off-Tasting Dishes When the mains finally arrived, one of the curries tasted completely off, forcing us to send it back. By the time the replacement curry finally made it to the table, we realized they had also short-changed us on the number of naans we ordered. The Bill & Management: The Final Straw To make matters worse, when the bill arrived, they had tried to charge us for a salad we never received. When we asked for the optional service charge to be removed—which was completely justified given the disastrous service—the staff and the so-called "manager" acted shocked. The manager handled the situation poorly and showed zero customer service skills. Final Verdict: Ruined what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration. Unorganized staff, poor food quality control, and defensive management. We will definitely not be returning. The food was incredibly delicious—every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The drink menu is just as impressive, with beautifully crafted cocktails and a great selection to pair perfectly with the meal. What really set this place apart, though, was the exceptional service. The staff was attentive, warm, and made sure our glasses were never empty and our every need was met without ever feeling intrusive. If you're looking for top-tier food and drinks paired with world-class hospitality, this is the place to be. A well-deserved 5 stars! I will definitely be coming back. After visiting most Indian restaurants, I leave feeling like I could make the dishes better than home. But Vaghaar was a huge exception. The dishes tasted like they were made from fresh ingredients, very well flavoured and they cater extensively for Jain/no onion no garlic requirements. The portion sizes were generous and the waiting staff were very friendly and accommodating. The premises were calming and very clean. For me easily the best vegetarian restaurant I've visited across many London districts by some way. Highly recommend paying them visit.
