I came here for a meal with my family. The restaurant is excellent for families with a good play area for young children. Food and drinks were delicious. The only point to improve would be baby changing facilities in unisex/ gents toilets.

I suggested The Victoria to a friend for lunch after we had had a wonderful dinner there on the 10th to celebrate my husbands birthday We were not disappointed. My friend was very impressed with the amazing menu choices and the service was great. We had a wonderful waiter called Dean and despite having g a hand injury was very able and helped us choose from the menu. He was very knowledgeable and was always around for any of our needs despite us sitting in the garden. We would definitely go back and hopefully Dean will be there to serve us.

I'm an infrequent visitor to the Victoria (perhaps once or twice a year as we have family in the area) and we've always enjoyed our visits there, the welcome has always been warm and the service has been attentive. Unfortunately the standard of service today was below the levels we've come to expect. It wasn't a particularly busy lunchtime, but orders were slow to be taken, a drinks order was taken by a waitress but then not given to the bar staff to prepare the drinks, the table was slow to be cleared between courses and the staff weren't as warm and friendly as we've come to expect at the Victoria However...... the food was outstanding! I had the lovely Haggis scotch egg from the specials board to start, Haddock and chips with curry sauce as a main was delightful and churros as my dessert was a lovely end to a delicious meal.
