Try perfectly cooked cod, fish & chips and sausages. This restaurant is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Attractive prices at Village fish bar are good news for its clients. Most of the time, the lovely atmosphere is to be found here. Due to my normal chippy having an hour long queue while they apparently preferentially prepared delivery orders I decided to try this chippy as it had recently changed hands. I only had sausage and chips, but the chips were fabulous. Slightly crunchy and not at all greasy. The sausage was a chip shop sausage. I'd recommend giving it a go. It's also quite a bit cheaper than the alternative. Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

The best chippy in town, the £1.50 cones of chips get us all through long days at sixth form and the £5 mini fish and chip deals are a favourite. Big shout out to the owner who is an absolute legend!! Big up The Village Fish Bar Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
