went on a saturday during peak time with my gorgeous fiancée and all the staff were very very lovely and attentive. food was good (pretty much just garden center food but good nonetheless), and the outdoor seating area was very nice to sit at. they are not stingy with the ham in the ham and cheese sandwiches btw which is important because who wants an all cheese no ham toastie. i love webbs Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

After activity avoiding this place for years because it resembled a Ryanair flight to Alicante, we were pleasantly surprised by the new layout. The staff, food and speed of service were excellent Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: £10–20 Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section

I am reluctantly writing this review after being a regular customer at Webbs for some time after a second bad experience with the same server in the Webbs restaurant (which I previously emailed about and had no response). We visited the Webbs restaurant for lunch today with my parents and two young children, my 8 week old was in a sling I was wearing. The food arrived, my order was for soup and a crusty roll (a part baked roll) and the roll was not cooked. Their food prices are on the higher side and I expect to receive what is advertised on the menu, so I asked for it to be cooked. A server replaced the roll with a second, uncooked, part baked roll. After raising a second complaint this server went to fetch a male server, who I will refrain from naming publicly who asked where I had seen that the roll should be crusty. I referred to the menu, he proceeded to get a menu and ask me to show him where, which I did - however it was clear he was expecting me to be proved wrong by doing this. He then went into the kitchen and came back and stated ‘that’s what they come like’. Well, yes, part baked rolls do come like that and they require cooking - a massive fuss over something so easily corrected. He asks how I would like it fixed and I say, as the customer, you should be suggesting how to fix an issue with something that isn’t as described. This server then aggressively accuses me of attacking him, whilst I am wearing my sleeping, 8 week baby. For clarity, I did not raise my voice or show any signs of aggression towards him and was met with this completely unreasonable reaction for asking for a crusty bread roll. I ended up leaving the table and asking to speak with another member of staff, who apologised and promptly sorted the situation. I will never return to this restaurant, this is an experience I hope nobody else has to go through over a bread roll whilst wearing their newborn child.
