Since the new Landlord Nathan took over, this pub is thriving, and is now my new local. Love this place, and will continue supporting, and attending events they have on. If you're looking for the best pub in Widnes then come down here! Price per person: £1–10

Nathan is the new manager at the wellington and was kind enough to allow us to hold our babies christening party. He was really supportive and helped us set up tables and set out our bring your own buffet. The staff behind the bar where lovely and even helped us tidy up aswell as serving other customers. We had a beautiful day and made some lovely memories. We will be back to share a drink or two Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Firstly, dog allowed fair enough, not to walk round the pub amongst tables and sniffing around people's legs. Secondly, picture of fish and chips showed a lovely crispy fish of normal battered fish shape. What came out was a supermarket fish fillet (2 in a box type) triangular shaped soggy batter (in parts) not sure what type of fish, chips OK just needed another minutein fryer. Condiments in sachets just shoved on table, bottle of vinegar brought afterwards. 2 minutes later it was taken away. Not a nice place only one bar person serving. Other pubs more appealing.
