Windyria is a great restaurant that has a lot more than Pizza! Lots of options, which is particularly awesome if you have picky eaters. They are also open on Sundays for brunch which is awesome. The owners and the staff are so friendly and hospitable and the atmosphere is great. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

First time visit! Will be back! Great tasting pizzas. Was there with friends and we shared so we can taste different kinds and they were all great. Loved pizza dough and the story behind it.
Next time we will try the sandwiches!

This pizza is the real deal and what one would find at great pizza places in Chicago. If in Germany and you want to experience great Chicago pizza, this is it. Note: my wife and I both grew up in Chicago. The service here is excellent. Chantal took great care of us. She is very attentive, engaging, and as a German she is fluent in English. She is very knowledgeable about the menu and the preparation of the food items. We ordered the thin crust pizza because a pizza place has to get this basic pizza style right. 5 stars here! They do everything by hand with focused attention to detail, so expect to wait at least 25-30 minutes to get your order. Enjoy the fun atmosphere while doing so. The cheese is flavorful, with the right thickness and melt; not overcooked nor burnt. The sauce is balanced with the tomato base and key spices like oregano and basil come through noticeably--nothing is overpowerful or underwhelming, just balanced. The sausage topping is exceptional. The fennel spice comes through perfectly. The sausage is prepared to perfection. The crust is thin enough for easy eating, yet strong enough to not get soggy and never fall apart over time. Excellent flavor, too. We could close our eyes while eating this pizza and be transported to the best original pizza places in Chicago. Chef John is the real deal. We will return here frequently.
