Well, the review is a month late, but I’m still baffled how rude the gentleman was. Called to place an order, I said I’ve got it noted down and I’ll read it out. I was abruptly interrupted with a “too busy, call when you’re ready” and call put down on me. I was a bit surprised and called back. To have the same reply, but with an added sigh and a tut for good measure If you want to be able to place an order with this place, good luck. Only tried it as I was wanting to try something new, but wouldn’t bother. Note; I had the order in my hand, he just wouldn’t give me the time or opportunity to even read it. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Lovely guy, loves to share his wisdom make sure you have cash, they don’t do card payments at all. Nearest cash machine at Tesco express, 10 minutes walk towards the station, off the main road. Price per person: £1–10

I recently discovered Woodside Cantonese Takeaway and I can honestly say it’s one of the best Chinese takeaways in the area. The food is absolutely delicious—freshly prepared, full of flavour, and made with high-quality ingredients. The portions are also very generous. The service is outstanding. The owner is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the whole experience feel warm and personal. You can clearly see the passion behind the business. Another big plus is the excellent value for money. The dishes are well-balanced, not overly greasy, and consistently satisfying. If you’re in Rugby and craving authentic Chinese food, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommended—I will definitely be coming back!
