Had haddock and chips from there twice while visiting from Glasgow. Fish was big and beautifully fresh (unlike most Glasgow chippies), and everything was finger-burning hot. Deeeeelicious! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If I could rate this chip shop zero stars and then sue for emotional damages, I would. Ordering from Crwys Fish Bar on July 11th was not just a mistake — it was a full-on act of self-sabotage. I thought I was ordering dinner. What I got was a psychological thriller in a greasy paper bag Let’s start with the small sausage in batter, It looked like a cocktail sausage that fell into a fryer by accident and someone just went, “Yeah, send it.” It was so lightly battered, I swear it must’ve been on a no-carb diet. I’ve seen thicker plotlines in a Hallmark movie. That wasn’t a sausage — that was a cry for help. It was so small, so pathetic, I nearly offered it counseling. I’ve seen bigger toe separators. It looked like it got briefly introduced to the batter, then bullied out of the fryer by the actual food. let's talk about the chips, i don't know who has hurt Crwys Fish Bar but they have clearly chosen to pass that pain directly onto their customers — one pitiful portion of chips at a time. £4.25 for a “large” bag of chips? that wasn’t large — that was a hate crime in a bag. I stared into that bag like I was trying to unlock a hidden second layer. What exactly makes it ‘large’? Is it the price? The size of the bag that was 90% oxygen? Or the gaping hole left in my soul afterwards? Let me say this loud for the people at the back: £6 for a miserable little pile of chips and a sausage the size of my will to live after eating it? DISGUSTING!!! A robbery wrapped in paper and seasoned with spite. Final thought: If you’re thinking of eating here don’t. Eat a cushion. Lick a wall. Chew your own shoe. You’ll get more satisfaction, more flavour, and frankly, more portion. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1
